About

I’m Pete.

I really enjoy writing, and started this blog primarily to create a space in which I could hone my writing skills. I hope that it will serve as a tool to help articulate my thoughts and to tell stories that resonate. I will endeavour to be concise.

Topics: the topics I write about are guided by my own interests. These range from endurance sport to reading, individual and team productivity to faith.

Intent: my intention is to offer reflections that are helpful, amusing, and/or encouraging. Escapism is fundamental to the magic of reading. In providing that escape, I hope to leave you feeling uplifted and motivated to think or to try something new. I don’t wish to project an image of supreme expertise, to ostracise, or to preach. Thus, I should note that when I write about faith, I’ll either give personal reflections or offer thoughts that could be applicable to people of all faiths or no faith.

Format: I believe that my generation is overly reliant on using video, photography, and emojis to communicate. While these media have obvious benefits, I am preferring to use words only.

Regularity: I update the blog daily.

Blogging is not my day job. I’m a humanitarian worker, currently based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. For more details: LinkedIn.
